Anonymous asked: Maybe it's just me, but I love Shizune Hakamichi from Katawa Shoujo. I understand some may find her personality abrasive, but if you've played through her story arc you'll understand once you meet the rest of her family. Personally I'd welcome the idea of a cute girl like her being a part of my life, even if it was as an intellectual sparring partner.

I find her expressions the cutest, even above Emi’s, heh.

There’s a lot of “blank space” in her route where the readers are expected to make connections on their own, instead of having the narration directly point out “Shizune’s father must have rubbed off on her” or something similar.

Having her turn out to be a really good person beyond her all-too-obvious competitive streak was a nice touch. I’d say that the re-read value of her route is the highest, because what’s revealed later on connect back to the previous events perfectly in hindsight.

…In other words, even though her story has the smallest gameplay element (only one choice), it’s also one of the most game-like in that you take the pieces given to you - Jigoro, Hideaki, Lilly, Misha, various seemingly isolated events - and connect them up as though you were solving a mystery.

Ah, and that was completely off-topic.
